New Old Box

I was asked to build a box that may be used to hold jewlery. The only request for the box was the size, for it to be about 12" x 4".
This is what I came up with.
I recycled some old pallets to be used as the sides of the box.
The bottom is an 1/8" thick piece of Aspen.
The top outside of the box is Curly Maple with a strip of Bolivian Rosewood. On the top of the inside of the box is a thin piece of Purple Heart, for something different and also to help hide the gaps between the woods on the outside of the box. The tray is constructed out of 1/4" Purple Heart with the thin dividers being Purple Heart on the sides and Bolivian Rosewood as the taller center piece.
The box has been treated on the outside Only with two coats of tongue oil. I won't treat the inside nor the tray, for the way that it looks helps the box look older than it is.
The hinges are non-mortise barrels.

I have to create a new fence for my table saw before I can build any new boxes, it isn't set at a 90 degree angle, so I don't get clean cross cuts when I have to cut open the boxes.
